As we move into the winter season, we want to take a moment to thank you for your unwavering support and for being such an integral part of our journey. At the end of the summer, we reached out to you via a survey to gather your thoughts on how we might adjust our hours. We received a wide range of responses—some suggested closing on certain days, while others recommended hiring more staff. There wasn’t a clear-cut solution, but we deeply appreciated your feedback and took every suggestion into account as we made these decisions.
After careful consideration, we’ve made two key adjustments to our schedule starting the week of December 9th:Sunday Brunch: We’re extending our brunch hours to serve you from 9 AM to 1 PM, and the best part? It will now be a full brunch menu the entire time! Previously, we switched to lunch at 11 AM, but now you can enjoy your favorite brunch items all the way through to 1 PM.
Friday Pizza Nights: We’ve made the tough decision to pause Friday pizza nights for the winter. We know this has been a cherished tradition for many of you, and it was not a decision we took lightly. However, this pause will give us the space to prioritize our families and come back stronger with exciting new Friday night offerings in 2025. Don’t worry—you can still enjoy our pizza! We’ll have frozen pizzas available for you to grab and enjoy at home. It’s the same scratch-made, high-quality goodness, just ready when you need it most.
We also want to emphasize that, despite these changes, we are still open seven days a week. Whether you’re driving across the bridge, down the turnpike, or walking down Cannon Street, you can count on us to be here every day, serving nourishing, wholesome food.
These decisions were not easy, and they were made with great care and thoughtfulness. While we aim to meet the needs of our community, we also need to ensure we’re supporting the health, well-being, and work-life balance of our team and families. By making these changes now, we’re building a foundation to better serve you in the future.
Thank you for understanding and for continuing to support our small family business. We can’t wait to serve you this winter and are already looking ahead to the exciting things we’ll bring to you in 2025.
With gratitude,
The Modern Stone Age Kitchen Family -

Yes. Since we make everything from scratch we need the entire week to make it all. Just take cheese for example. We bring in 50 gallons of milk on Tuesday and transform it all into pasta filata cheese and ricotta for pizza. No big commercial food service operations deliver mozzarella to us - it is all made in house! Same goes for pepperoni, sausage, our wild, long fermented sourdough crust (which we start making Tuesday evening for Friday pizzas!), and any other ingredient we use. There are no on/off switches for the oven. On Friday we load the oven with wood and start the fire in the late morning and continuously tend it until pizza service begins at 4. The whole process takes time . . . lots of it. And, it is so worth it. We maintain complete control over the production of every aspect of each and every pizza so we can ensure to offer you the most nourishing and delicious pizzas possible.

BOTH! You can eat your pizza with us on our patio, inside our foodery OR take it away. If you choose to dine-in with us, it's a great chance to eat the pizza at optimum freshness and experience the vibe of the MSAK. We also have a liquor license so you can also enjoy unique beers, wine and spiked seltzers with your handmade pizza.

We schedule our pizzas in 30 minute windows so everyone gets the freshest pizza possible. When you arrive in your window (ex. 4:00 time slot means you have between 4 - 4:30 to come in), we will start making your pizza. If everyone in the 4:00 window shows up at 4:00, then there is a back-log so please stagger arrival times for less of a wait. Your pizza will NOT be ready when you walk in the door. We cook to order for optimal freshness and quality!

You will not be charged for shipping if you pick up your pizza. We can't even ship our pizzas yet ;-)
Enter your email address in #1 and then at #2 make sure you click the pick-up tab and not the shipping tab. We can not change the order of this as it's built into the website system.
