Custom made Cutting Boards

We are thrilled to have partnered with Ron McGowan of Patriot Woodworks to handcraft these gorgeous cutting boards for our Modern Stone Age Kitchen. We have a limited number in stock, but are taking pre-orders for the perfect holiday gift for a foodie on your gift list!

The smaller edge grain board above is made from white oak and Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry). They are designed to be smaller, lighter, and easier to pick up to scrape diced ingredients into a pot or pan. The edge grain, although exposing beautiful wood grains and clean lines, will scratch over time and be tougher on knife blades.

The larger animal-cut boards are made from white oak end grain. End grain chopping boards involves a much more complex manufacturing process, but yield a surface that is easier on knives and houses complex character in the end-grains of the wood. They are generally thicker and stand up better to a lifetime of use and are easier on knife blades than edge grain. With a larger cutting surface and recessed juice groove, these chopping boards will be the ideal pedestal for a grill master to showcase their carefully prepared barbecued specialties.

Both types of boards are laser engraved, and veteran-crafted in small batches right here on the Eastern Shore from responsibly sourced lumber.
