Diabetes Remission: Fact or Fiction, is your food making you sicker?

  • Watershed Alley 337 High Street Chestertown United States (map)

Do to increased COVID numbers, this event has been rescheduled from Saturday January 8th to Saturday March 26th and will be held at Watershed Alley in Chestertown at 7:00. Thank you for understanding.

Despite a growing body of evidence for low-carbohydrate diets’ superior results in the management of metabolic diseases including obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes, objections by the medical and public health communities persist. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) and most clinicians do not recommend a low-carbohydrate diet as first line treatment.

Come join Dr. Mark Cucuzzella and Family Nurse Practitioner Chrissy van Hilst as they share their experiences at the West Virginia University Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Health. This work has sparked change in hospital menus and removal of sugary beverages from their hospital, the first hospital in our state to implement this practice. Our clinical practice engages Therapeutic Carbohydrate Reduction to facilitate weight loss and diabetes remission with medication reduction.  The goal of this presentation is to leverage Mark & Chrissy’s experiences and success to not just educate, but more importantly change behavior and empower people to heal.

Please let us know if you will be able to make this empowering event on MARCH 26th!
